Petroleum engineers salary skyrockets

Based on median earning in May of 2013 of the federal governemt pay, petroleum engineers are among the best paid professionals in the United States. Only chief executives and some specialist doctors earned more last year.

"These figures include everyone from the newest graduates to the most experienced engineers with decades of experience. Oil and gas specialists in all fields have benefited from the shale boom and the broader energy revolution sweeping the United States and Canada in the last ten years, with engineers leading the pack. The majority of the growth in numbers has come from many older petro engineers postponing their retirement, and engineers from other specialisms are transferring into oil and gas, in response to the strong financial incentives."

If you are still in school and can't decide which route to go, as you can see becoming a petroelum engineer is the best choice. Of course salaries and job numbers also depend on oil and gas output and the amount of spending on exploration and production. The oil and gas industries have always been strongly cyclical, and there is no reason to expect that to change in future.

Oil and Gas emergency shut down in California

California officials have ordered an emergency shut-down of 11 oil and gas waste injection sites and a review more than 100 others in the state's drought-wracked Central Valley out of fear that companies may have been pumping fracking fluids and other toxic waste into drinking water aquifers there. (There are 6 wells that are confirmed to have waste pumped into the aquifiers. )The state's Division of Oil and Gas and Geothermal Resources on July 7 issued cease and desist orders to seven energy companies warning that they may be injecting their waste into aquifers that could be a source of drinking water, and stating that their waste disposal "poses danger to life, health, property, and natural resources." To date,  California's agriculture industry copes with a drought crisis that has emptied reservoirs and cost the state $2.2 billion this year alone. The lack of water has forced farmers across the state to supplement their water supply from underground aquifers.

at least 100 of the state's aquifers were presumed to be useless for drinking and farming because the water was either of poor quality, or too deep underground to easily access

GLOBAL Expanding Gate Valve

Expanding Gate Valves

Expanding gate valves are Full Port Thru Conduit for pigging applications and have many benefits in the chemical and petrochemical industries. So, what is the best part about the Expanding gate valve?

Several things, when you disassemble our EXPG, it features a mechanical seal for a bubble tight shut off, secondary stem and seat sealant injection systems and an integral stopper. The lever locks are either shifted up or down to close or open the valve for either upstream or downstream flow. Secondly, it has bi-directional sealing and can go through many weather conditions.
