As we all know that a ball valve features the spherical closure element with a round or other-shaped hole in the middle and a gate valve features the lifting and dropping wedge. And the number of the holding ports varies. A gate valve has two ports, which is called an inlet and an outlet. But a ball valve usually has two or more ports. However, when referring to the connections to the ports, they would be with the same ones, including the threaded, soldered or Flanged Ball Valves.
